Benefits Of Massage

Benefits of equine massage & bodywork include:

  • increased circulation
  • improved range of motion
  • improved performance
  • quicker recovery
  • pain relief via endorphin release
  • enhanced metabolism
  • improved removal of built up fluid and bodily toxins
  • strengthened immune system
  • promotes relaxation and calm
  • improved disposition

When I am doing a bodywork session on a horse, I am usually in a quiet and contemplative state which helps me to assess on a deep and sometime intuitive level as to the issues going on for the horse.

I feel which muscles feel tight or strained. I can feel temperature changes throughout the body (such as a joint that feels warm or a cold leg), I become aware of where a horse might be sore or tender by the reactions I get from certain touch and pressures, and I start to see and/or feel imbalances and crookedness that is often a result of tight muscles, tendons or stuck fascia.

I work to relieve the imbalances and relieve the tension to help your horse feel renewed and improve its overall performance.  Outcomes vary depending on what is effecting the horse most whether muscular or emotional.

I look forward to hearing from you!
